Fairy tales, or folk tales, are the stories around the magical characters and creatures of a culture. They tell narratives of normal ‚folks‘ whose lives get touched by something magical, or who have to fulfill a special task or find an object that connects them with the magical or the supernatural. They are not connected to any specific historic events or times, rather, they take place in their own, vague ‚once upon a time‘.
